Sergeant is an Android habit and workout tracker with a drill-sergeant character, daily missions, streaks, and progress ranks. I made it because I needed a strict habit manager that would also motivate me. A daily motivational quote is part of that idea: a small push to keep going when a plain checklist is easy to ignore.

Why did I make Sergeant?

I wanted accountability with personality. It is easy for me to create a list; the harder part is returning to it. Sergeant gives that routine a recognizable voice and a daily briefing, while keeping the actual work clear: show up, complete the habit, and record it.

Strict should not mean humiliating. The character is meant to encourage action, and the intensity can be adjusted. If the tone is too much on a particular day, the tool should adapt rather than make the person feel worse.

How do daily missions work?

Add the habits or workouts you want to track, then use the daily mission list to see what is due. Completing a mission updates the record. The goal is a short routine you can repeat rather than spending more time managing the tracker than doing the habit.

  • Daily missions for habits and exercises.
  • A motivational quote as a daily prompt.
  • Current and longest streaks, with requested rest days supported.
  • XP-based ranks, cadet progress, and consistency badges.
  • Gentle, Firm, and Full Sergeant intensity settings.

How does it handle missed days?

The current listing says that ranks are not taken away for a lapse and that requested rest days do not break a streak. That is the balance I wanted: a clear record of consistency, with a path back when a routine is interrupted. The app should help you resume rather than make you hide a missed day.

The progress record and shareable streak cards make consistency visible. They do not establish that one routine works for everyone. Use a habit you can realistically repeat and adjust it when your circumstances change.

Who is Sergeant for?

It is for someone who prefers a more direct accountability style than a quiet reminder. You can track an exercise, a reading routine, drinking water, or another habit that fits your day. The drill-sergeant personality is a motivational character, not a medical or fitness professional.

Where can you download it?

Get Sergeant on Google Play. The screenshots show daily missions, habits, and the progress record. The listing describes offline tracking without an account; check the current release information for the full feature and data-safety details.

If your goal is to move away from smoking or drinking, DayOne Sober has a different routine centered on pledges and personal reasons. Browse all releases on the Apps page.
